I am a Licensed Professional Counselor certified by the Tennessee Board For Professional Counselors and hold a Masters degree in clinical mental health counseling from Vanderbilt University. In addition to my clinical work I have served as an adjunct faculty member in the mental health counseling Master's program at Vanderbilt University, a past board member for the Nashville Psychotherapy Institute, and I am a member of both the American Counseling Association and Chi Sigma Iota, an international counseling society. In addition to my work in private practice, I have experience working with various agencies specializing in college counseling, alcohol and drug treatment, and trauma-focused therapy.

Prior to pursuing a career in counseling, I graduated from the University of Virginia where I earned my BA in English. I went on to work for several years as a publicist in the publishing industry, and my experiences connecting with a diverse group of creative and unique people paved the way for my interest in counseling and psychology. I consider myself fortunate to be able to connect with people on a daily basis and play a part in positive change and growth. Originally from South Carolina, I am happy to have made Nashville my home.
